Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, born 26 March 1991 often referred to professionally by the name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the debut female to be signed by J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. The debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released on Dreamville Records. She began to gain notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album, came out on the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox uploaded her first tracks online in 2012. The singer released her debut album five singles in 2013 and Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. Her uploads continued music online in 2014, including her self-released single Bound. In 2015she sung on Omen's Elephant Eyes Album on the track "Sweat it out" on the 21st of July. J. Cole asked her to collaborate with him for Rihanna's remark. In the following period, she released music that circulated all over Dreamville. The official signing ceremony was held with Dreamville Records on 8 December. The release album Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat, along with Cozz. She dropped Pho, her debut EP on October 21st, 2016. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's hit song Change and also performed as the opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in the year 2017. She also appeared on the tracks Nothing but the Best by EarthGang and Icarus along with Bas the label's co-founders. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on the 16th of July in 2018. A music video was then released in September. In November, the singer released singles 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. And on the 13th of November she dropped two more singles, titled No One as well as Pdigree. She performed with Cole on the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby in the 16th of November, and released the song on her own single to accompany Her debut album. The song was followed by an accompanying music video that debuted on February 20 2019 and it surpassed 3 million views on YouTube within one week. In December of 2018 she performed on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour, which featured 6LACK.
